Day 6by CapeSailComment: This is a good first portrait, catching the child sticking out her tongue is especially good. The focus seems to be on the top of her head (on her hair), though, and her face is a bit soft; having the eyes, or at least one of them, in focus can be pretty important to a portrait. I might have tried cropping a bit more off the left, but that might not have worked. |

Highlightsby BenComment: I like the tones and the bokeh in this, but I'm not sure what the subject is or where I should focus my attention. The high contrast in the foreground leaves leads me away from them, but there doesn't seem to be much more to look at given the shallow depth of field. |

Fervor (Day 1)by CalliopeKelComment: The high contrast here works great. I really like this, with excellent tones through the face, sharpness (but not too much) in the whiskers, and effective use of grain in the shadows and the background. Nice. |

W e n z a (Day 2)by CalliopeKelComment: I think with some advanced editing this shot could really scare, I mean, sparkle ;) The edges of your model's hair are a bit frizzy, and could probably be cleaned up with some spot editing, and as Keith said, the skin tones are sometimes a bit close to the background tones. I think the composition here works, and the expression is definitely one to capture! |

Hiddenby RetroesqueComment: This has a great visual effect on me. I'm actually sitting waiting for her to say "boo!", and the image actually makes me curious as to what she looks like. The position, the hair, the detail. All wonderful. I might have liked the background (above the bed) to be a uniform white, instead of with boards/pattern showing on the lower portion right above the bed, though the shadows there do give it a type of gradient look (and as Catherine said, a bit of depth). |

Day 4 - Folds & Curvesby sherpetComment: What a great image. I could study this for awhile, picking up hints and details and subtlety along the way. The bright whites, the greys, the deep blacks. Lovely. |

Under the Fogby JammurComment: Great image. Wonderful movement in the water, the tones are great, and while it's a bit dark (especially under the bridge), I think it works here quite well. I really like that you kept the edges of the posts on the extreme left and right; it just adds something. |

I'm over here, Mom!by MelethiaComment: Excellent take on this challenge; I really like what you've done here, and how you've done it. Brilliant tones in this, and nice use of contrast to add impact. Nice. |

Shadows of Moonlightby jeroweComment: Delightful image. Wonderful colors, though the shadows are a bit harsh given the range of tones everywhere else. Really nice. |

ICONICby Car54Comment: Cool image, though a bit dark on the whole, and a bit chaotic, as well (it's hard to pick out the symmetry in chaos, but the scientists tell us it's there). Nice capture. |
