Day 4; Another close up macro shot of an Agave plant that I love. I love the lines, folds, and curves, of this one, and also the touch of white, grey to black tonal qualities. Enjoy.....

What a great image. I could study this for awhile, picking up hints and details and subtlety along the way. The bright whites, the greys, the deep blacks. Lovely.

Another lovely shot, there seems to be a touch of blur on some of the leading lines. Initially I was a touch disappointed when I saw this image, but having looked at it again I think that was because I was so smitten by you prvious days entry and of 'symettry' (Sorry to keep going on about symettry but I love that image so much) on looking at this a second and third time I realise that it has its own beauty

Wow Shez! What a beautiful study for black and white! It doesn't get much better than this to depict your talent for displaying all the range in tones of the gray scale!

Your agave photos: magnificent as ALWAYS!

Wow! I love this so much! It looks like a sand dune. Great lines and directions from the lights and shadows.

Absolutely beautiful lines, great tones, very dynamic. Little grainy in areas but not really a problem. Really top notch.

Yes.

There is also an exquisite balance between the translucent and the opaque, between gradating tones and the solid and an ever so slight ambiguity about the dimensions, which awards us a more sustained interest than in something solely so and not otherwise.

Even the noise is something to be enjoyed here, considering an image of lines and edges.

This is another great abstract. Love the lines, the bold cuts. Very Georgia O'Keefe.

To get your seal of approval Ursula means such a lot to me, actually to get anyones approval means a lot to me, as well.....
Thanks heaps.....No more agaves after this one for now, as I have found some great images tucked away, taken not long ago, to turn into black and white for tomorrow.....

Lovely abstract. The large central portion of darkness works very well.

Is this cheating using old images. :) Just kidding, the idea is to see great pictures from the members, and this is one stunning image. So good, I am going to fav it. Great contrast of lighting, wonderful lines and terrific detail.
