Day Twoby Wenders11Comment: I like the extra emphasis here on the brush bristles, while everything else is deemphasized by the (lack of focus); as has been said, b&w works perfectly here, and I don't mind the high key look this has (I'm not sure it's technically high key, but I don't mind either way, I just like it). |

day 2 - light fittingby GinaRothfelsComment: Delightful; wonderful use of available light, and a shot that fits in perfectly with the theme here. How many times do we go in a room and never notice what lights it up? Nicely shot here, and I like the minimal editing treatment; works well here. |

Day 2by breadfan35Comment: Glad you joined us; post what and when you can, no worries! I think the look here is very effective, too, though some of the texture moves from the wood across the angel, which is a bit disconcerting. I might have tried to mask her out in the texture layer, and then have a separate texture layer over just her (masking out the rest). By the way, that might be the entirely wrong thing to do, as I've never done a "real" grunge shot! |

Day02: Stainless Steel Creamerby citymarsComment: The macro here is wonderful, forcing us to look at the details of something that has gotten (is still getting?) a lot of use. I agree with Monica that it has a pained feeling, but I like that, because it's something I would otherwise miss. It fits here with what we see. Nicely done. |

Day 2 - Love.jpgby MonicagdComment: I like this, the selective desat works very well here to deemphasize the keys, very pleasing to the eye. I might have tried to really bring up the contrast in the black and white, maybe even lighten it significantly so that the B&W portion is very bright and the color part stays as is (that might look awful, though, LOL). |

garage.jpgby pcodyComment: I like the blur, too, it makes me wonder - did someone just go in? What's inside that they've gone to? How did they get past the guard plant :) I like shots that make me imagine a story behind them, and this does that. Nicely seen and shot! |

day 2 - wagner halogenby rachelellenComment: Neat choice for subject, especially with the eyes that other people have seen (I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees them!). Good, sharp focus, and interesting shades and colors in the glass. |

Day 2 - Keys IIby nikolaosComment: Nice macro here, with worn looks abounding, but sharpness in all the edges. Well shot! |

nikon 042dpc.jpgby pcodyComment: Excellent; so perfectly on topic: something we see everyday, but yet hardly give a second glance to, shot and processed to make us see it. I love it. |
