In looking at this again I noticed how perfectly you centered it, so that the center hole is perfectly round and then the outer ones are even and radially symmetrical. Good job.

oh, THAT kind of frog! I forgot, I've heard of those too. Although I think I've just heard floral foam called frogs; I've never seen an "old-school" one like this.

Thanks for the comments. This is a flower frog balanced on it's edge. They are designed to sit flat, submerged in water. Flower stems are inserted into the holes. Floral frogs were the precursors to floral foam and are now considered collectables.

OK, you've got me. What is this? What we call 'frogs' (other than the obvious) are the little clasps on the backs of hat- or lapel-pins.
