:Sby cloudsmeComment: Well thought through, though the image itself doesn't do a lot for me. It's well taken, I don't have any technical critiques, but something about it just doesn't work for me! Sorry I can't be more helpful. |

The Sentinelby NikonJebComment: Really neat image, strikingly done in B&W. Well executed, though the light is a tiny bit too bright for me (it's lost, but it's a potentially important part of the shot). |

Patterns Of Year's Gone Byby sallyjo1Comment: I'm struggling to find what it is that I don't like about this shot, which has an interesting pattern and technically suitably executed shot. I think perhaps the pattern is too all-encompassing for me, and it's too simple of a pattern to carry the weight of the entire subject matter of the photo. The picture is too much pattern, without any context. While I can tell what it is (at least I think I can), something broader would have appealed to me more. |

In Circlesby phatphotoComment: Very nice shot, well executed, with interesting subject matter. I especially like the way the light plays behind the main subject in the background. Nicely done! |

Patterns in water and shadowby mistComment: The more I look at this, the more I like it; I originally thought it was ice, but then realized it was water. There do seem to be some focusing issues (it's lost at some points where I think it wasn't intentional). It's still a nice shot, though! |

Dabble Grey Patternby karenkComment: Good pattern, well executed, but I would have worked a bit more on the model to move the extra hairs that cross the head at the top of the photo (these could probably have been cropped out without much loss of effect). I probably would have cropped out the loss of focus in the lower left corner, as well, but that's me! |

:: Patterns are in the Eye of the Beholder ::by shamerComment: This is a really neat shot to look at; I honestly have no idea what it is, but it's a nice artistic photo. I like the use of two primary colors (plus shades of these) in the gold and the black. Really neat shot. |

Snowy Metersby RebeccaComment: Neat photo on the whole (nice "found" pattern). I would have liked to have seen a bit more attention to composition either in the shot or in the processing (a bit more cropping of the top, which seems to detract from the shot for my eye), and a bit more brightness to the color differences (especially as there are only three main colors in the image). |

Grass Patternby ankursomaniComment: Really neat shot, well executed (not a shot I could have pulled off, I'm guessing). Excellent contrast between the lower, greyer part and the upper bluer part. Good use of color. Would have rated it higher had the pattern been more apparent (with this use of "pattern" any photo has it, as patterns are everywhere; I like to see a bit more focus on the actual pattern rather than asking the viewer to accept that a pattern is there just because). Well done. |

The Window to the Outsideby HoochieComment: Interesting subject matter (good choice), but I would have preferred it cropped a bit more to not show the bottom right corner. The wide depth of field works well, though, and I really like the buildings outside that you almost don't see at first. Nicely done. |
