 Blown glass flower turned on its side with a small halogen light very close to the top.

After shooting several different possible candidates for this challenge I finally changed my set-up with the glass flower & found something that looked promising.

Really thought this would do even better than it did - but not really disappointed as I know I'm improving overall if I can score two 6.x entries out of the last three...

Really hated the title within 5 minutes of the voting start :~) Oh well... Here are couple alternates I had:

yeah i really really liked this during the voting ...
and i had one in that was doing real well .. i actually gave out lower scores coz i thought it might make a difference to my score ... wot a bitch ... anyway, i'll never do that again ...
i actually gave you a 6 when i would've given you a 10 ... it wouldnt have made much of a difference tho ... but sorry ..

This is a really great effect. I think it would have done uber better in the center challenge. I don't see a clear pattern.. but it is a fantastical image.

This is a really neat shot to look at; I honestly have no idea what it is, but it's a nice artistic photo. I like the use of two primary colors (plus shades of these) in the gold and the black. Really neat shot.

i've only voted on about 20 or 30 but this is the very best so far ... you may have to put up with a place on the first page or a blue ribbon even!!
this is a spectacular shot .. the colours are amazing, the composition is superb ... AWESOME ...
