Summer's End — Sunriseby Bear_MusicComment: I'm not all that technical and while there is definitely a nice high contrast area on the upper right of your photo, other parts are similar in tonal values. I think this is a beautiful and peaceful photo though. |

Night Visionby banditComment: Very cool idea and concept, but the eyes are a little bit too overdone in a photo editing program. I like the tight closeup and the white whiskers though. Kid of spooky in a fun way. :-) |

Followedby CutterComment: While there is indeed high contrast with the model's bag and footwear, the center and left hand side of your photo seem very similar in tonal value, to me. I do like your composition however. |

Oracleby parrotheadComment: I might be wrong, but this little kitten looks very familar to photos of some I've seen in the forums. Some of the whites are a bit too much for me, but otherwise I like the contrast, especially around the eyes and on the left side of the photo. |

Bathing In Lightby BaldurTComment: Aside from that line in the bottom left hand corner, for me, this really works as a high contrast photo. Very well done. Kudos! |

elegantby hopperComment: The flower really jumps out against your solid black background. Perhaps just a bit more highlights on the stem, but for me, a really good high contrast entry. Well done. :::applause::: |

The Widowby roadrunnerComment: For me, if this photo had been cropped in tighter on either side, eliminating the large blocks of white, it would have had a greater high contrast impact. |

broom vendor by whiteroomComment: Good contrast. One of my favorites so far. I bet this would have worked for the color portrait challenge also. :-) |

Beacon Heightsby trnqltyComment: Rather than high contrast in this photo, I see many close tonal values and ranges. It's a very nicely composed photo, but for me, not as much high contrast as other photos in this challenge. |

Asymetricalby TelehubbieComment: I'm not sure what the shapes are, but I like them. For me though, the two dark gray ones detract from the high contrast and I find the metal behind these shapes distracting. I do like the composition and the white border is a nice touch. |
