Composition-Content
The content of this picture is really beautiful, what a beautiful poem, your picture really evokes the same emotion of the poem, stillness and peace, a lovely concept and vision. i think that your composition is great, I love the simple lines with the plant highlighted in the foreground. The angle that you took this from, is pefect, with the sun backlighting the plant, I have tried this before and it isn't easy. I think that you did it really well.
Background
The background here is great, i think that you have enough background interest here to fit the challenge of landscape. The lines and shades of the trees are captured perfectly, with the snow really setting off the blues of the trees and sky.
Technical
I think that you have captured foreground detail and background well, with lovely colour saturation and use of light. One small detail would be that the picture looks like it could be rotated a few degrees to the right, just to even up the horizon.
My Opinion
I have recently tried a similiar shot to this which was inspired from the book "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson (excellent book!). He did an example on backlighting objects with the sun, one option is to make the sun out of focus with a wide open aperture, 2.8 or 4.0, positioning the object in front of the sun and photograph in macro mode. This resulted in the foreground object being in focus with the sun a slightly out of focus ball, very nice effects. Of course for this challenge, landscape was the point, not the sun but it could be fun to play with in the future! Anyway, congrats on such a beautiful picture and Good Luck in the next challenge.

This is interesting and abstract, but I cannot quite work it out, is it a splash of yoghourt? Maybe a different colour background would have set this off nicely.

Definetely gets the taste beds working! Focus doesn't seem quite sharp enough on the top of the cream, the use of DOF is good however.

Just wondering what your white balance was set to, cause of the colour cast in this, I got this blue cast when the flash was on but the white balance was set to incandescent lighting.

Perhaps a little more cropping would help here, also maybe a different background would set off the cup more. The chocolate looks good!

Firstly, I like your idea for this picture, you made a good point. However, when I look at this picture, I see space! Where I live, in Japan, there is nothing but buildings, they have about 5cm between each building, literally! So, space is all relative. I would hate to see this happen in other beautiful parts of the world. You have made a great picture in this respect, as it makes you think and acts as a springboard for discussion. As far as composition goes, people have mentioned that there is no clear focal point, I think that you might have been able to use the road leading into the picture as opposed to horizontally, however it is hard to say this without seeing the view behind.
Technical
Use of panoramic was a good choice, it looks like you used a wide lense which has added a slight curve to the horizon. Colours seem a little soft here, I wonder if you could have boosted them a bit more.
My Opinion
The best thing about this picture is that you have made a statement, one of the most important parts of photography IMO. Good Luck in the next challenge.
