Last Action Heroby SnakeComment: In my opinion, this was unfairly voted on-you were creative with the challenge and did something different, I thought it was a great shot...good luck next time:) |

Brassyby levyj413Comment: Greetings from the critique club:)
Firstly, the composition of this is great- the 3 main subjects are spot on in focus and everything is very clean and sharp..great.
The use of colour is very effective here, the brass is beautiful and very rich and this really stands out against the monochrome-the saturation of the monochrome is spot on... I think I agree with JuliBoc- I would have prefered this if just the middle trumpet was coloured, I think this would have been more dramatic and add more meaning.
Great shot and excellet use of the technique.

Lifelineby alexjackComment: Hi from the critique club:)
firstly- great shot and congratulations on a good finish-this was a tough one and you did very well.
I think that you have used the effect here with meaning and in a way that adds strength to the picture. The colour really highlights the main parts of the picture and they really stand out against the background.. I think that the title works well with this and it makes people appreciate the kinds of jobs and dangeer that these people do...so yes, your image makes people think.
I do wish that the rest of the rope was colourized..but as you said this is down to taste...for me it would have worked better with colour.
Great toning, great sharpeness.....Great shot!! Good Job. Natasha |

Sure don't get these in the sunny UK...I love this one, cause it is different and has a humourous appeal....put your left foot forward would suit it perfectly...I just love the expression on their faces, they look like a double act off TV....I Love this-it makes me smile :) |

The Next Generation Is Hereby The_DentistComment: I would vote this a 6. It is technically very clean and sharp (except for the grey corners)-the contrast is good and the three main colours are strong. It definitely fits the challenge...
On the other side, it wouldn't go above a six because it doesn't excite me...this is purely personal preference, but I don't feel a connection to the picture-so 6 it is. |

twinsby rozComment: This is sweet and so handy to have twins available for this shot!! The focusing is great and the simple colours really add to this-great! One little thing and I'm not sure but the crop on the twin nearer to you seems a little close across the forehead-what would it look like if a little more of her head was showing?
I hope Katee is feeling better...when I was a child my dog had a virus and was really sick, he was in the vets for a long time, it turned out that he was the first and only dog to survive this particular virus-it is just so lucky that Katee had the vaccine-keep fighting little Katee. X |
