The thumbnail on this looked amazing. I was a little disappointed when I opened up the image to see the silhouette was not in perfect focus throughout. I think the composition of this is great!!! And the black on grey background works reakky well. The soft focus in parts hurst the image a bit.

The problem of the homeless is definitely a situation present in 2005, but it was also present for many many years before that. I see the fit to the challenge, but it is not something that gets me thinking specifically about 2005. The photo itself is okay. The B&W is nice, but the centre psotioning of the man is a bit static. Also, the bright spot on the bottom left of the photo is very distracting.

I'm assuming this is the Seattle Space Needle. I know that the Space Needle was built for the 62 World's Fair, so it doesn't get me thinkging of 2005. The photo itself is a cool llok at the underside of the tower and is a nice compsotion

The colouring in the photo seems a bit off to me. Maxwell's Silver Hammer appears gold on my monitor at work and at home. The still life is rather sparse to keep my interest peaked. JMO.

An interesting scene. The cropping is a bit of a question in my mind. The partial building on the right and the tight crop on the left house give me an uncomfortable feeling about the crop. Eliminating the building on the right and giving just a bit more room on the left side of the left house would have bee nicer. The modern day SUV coming down the hill kind of ruins the 1960 feel of the photo for me. JMO.

Based on you title, the weeds are the main subject in this photo. For me, I would like to see the weeds take a prominent place in the photo. I find that the pole is what me eye goes to the most.

An interesting still life and fitting for the challenge. The pictures of James Dean and Einstein are a little too white for the rest of the image, IMHO.

A nice fit into this challgne. This photo certainly depicts a different way of life and a different time. Technically, The bonnet is a little over-exposed and the shadow on the lady's face is a bit distracting. Maybe waiting to see if she turned her head into the light would have given more even light on her face and cut down the exposure on the bonnet.

I'm soooo glad this era has passed!! I nice shot. Good B&W tones. The photo is a good fit into the challenge, IMO. Maybe a wider view of the outhouse would make a slightly more pleasing photo. A shot that gives a wider sense of the area, including more trees, might convey the walk to the outhouse from the living cabin.
