Winter Shadowby philupComment: Phil,
Congratulations on up and coming. However, the photo that you didn't enter definitely exceeds the one you did enter in quality and aptness for the challenge. Thanks for posting it for comparison - awesome. |

Winter Shadowby philupComment: Puffier, whiter clouds would make a better entry. And there is loss of resolution in spots below the horizon. Still, it's an attractive infrared and false-color, post processing. |

The Troops Come Home!by jenesisComment: Originally posted by jerryc12: Great patriotic shot. However it doesn't mean success to everyone. |
Thank you for posting "The Troops Come Home!" Your Canon Rebel shows the family's longing for the return of their husband and daddy, and I hope that their reunion is "successful".
Our troops' mission is to ensure the right to dissent and to vote accordingly in a dark and disturbing nation in our often cold world. Thanks to those who post their opinions. And a special thank you to those who leave home and family for the right. |

R O S E by PhilosComment: Natural is best. Congratulations on the blue for this yellow rose. To share a little-known fact, the song, "The Yellow Rose of Texas" is about a mulata - ethnic term for female first generation of mixed european and african ancestry (not to be too rabbit-proof). |

TRANQUILITY by PhilosComment: Perfect! And amazing that the windmill blades are so motionless and sharp. The star is like an encoded EXIF - "this is a long exposure". What time of morning is the shot? |

a diamond is forever by hopperComment: Pros may spray shellac on food products. Might lessen need to edit. I've never tried it as I'm no pro. Congrats on a great concept and nice result. |
