Radiantby admart01Comment: Looked at this several times during voting and since..... wanting to like it and am not completely convinced. I love the subject & idea - simple natural, five (I like the uneaven number shown) fanned fonds. As you say the composition may be compromised by cropping or an alternative - just the simplicity of the editing is not enough to make this shine like it should. |

Neon Blueby singeComment: I like this neon study. Colours and wire detail are interesting. Square crop is ok, it's my second favorite crop format after no crop. |

Mark.jpgby K-RobComment: wonderful composition..... beautiful work. On a site obsessed with megapixals and ultra expensive cameras and lenses - this is refreshing to view here. |

Garden Postby admart01Comment: Nice gritty texture of this aged wood contrasts with the foliage & vine detail... excellent unnoticeable crop and very good b&w conversion. 7 |

Backyard Beauty.jpgby Rachel34Comment: Impressive..... I love the full-frame version..... composition with inclusion & placement of your subject in the environment for me has more information about setting & light, I like the "air" around it. Minimizes, but does not eliminate the scientific "specimen" type of image that the tight crop has. |

Shades of Greenby admart01Comment: The crop is ok, but I have a bias for full-frame ..... Clean green - excellent texture - simple, elegant frame, beautiful work. |

Glowby admart01Comment: ........ the apparent aperature limitations you have described for full clarity leaves you only an option to utilize selective focus - I think pretty well done on this one. (ursula certianly uses this technique effectively) Composition is quite good, as is what appears as the lucious red/orange natural colour - It looks to be very natural.. . Or a drastic alternative as in "painted display" in your portfolio, to apply some effect - (which I like a lot, but might have been a detriment during voting) My suggestion for "Glow" or a similar situation where advanced editing is allowed, is to implement some slight selective blur to complement and interact with the selective focus. In Photoshop (8 bit) select a background area and try smart blur. |
