The lack of focus really distracts from this photo. I think it also would have been nicer to crop more off the bottom of the photo to make it level with the bottom of the vase and have more space at the top.

Lily of the night

Because there is another lily picture similar to this one, I can't help but compare the two. Where the other one was too dark for my liking, with this one, the brightness/contrast is well balanced. The focus and detail are perfect. Where the position is not entirely wrong with this one, I like the position of the flower better on the other one.

You brought out the colors nicely in this photo and I like the angle at which you shot this. I'm just not thrilled about the soft edges on the border.

Very nice focus on the bud and blossom. Really fits in with your title. I like the colors, the muted colors in the background and way in which this picture is framed...how the branch dips. Very springy. I can't think of anyway in which this picture could be improved. 10 Good Luck

Little but Wild

The flowers are pretty and dainty. The background is interesting and I like it, however, it might have been better to clean up more around the flowers. For instance, the long stick that "falls" accross the top part of the photo is a little distracting. It could just be me, but the focus seems to be on the foilage on the bottom right than on the flowers. Other than those things, I really like this photo. Definately meets challenge. 8 Good luck

Very nice effect. I like the results of the desaturation of colors other than red in this picture. I like the symmetry of the flowers. Nicely focused. Good luck in the challenge. 9

I wasn\'t quite sure how to comment on this photo. As a whole, I really like the looks of it. It seems more abstract to me by focusing on the stem or branch (by the way, I like how it shows the detail of it). It made for a very interesting effect. At first, I didn\'t like how the plant was cut off, but now I don\'t think it would have the same meaning if did show the whole thing. Good luck in the challenge. I'm interested in seeing what others say.

This really appeals to me because it ISN"T a flower shot after seeing so many in this challenge. Very clever and unique. Although, the lighting is just a tad harsh on the front tall mushroom, the rest are perfect. Nice detail showen, especially on the mushroom in the bottom left corner. Good luck in the challenge...I hope you do well. 9 from me.

Very nice flora. I really like the way the flowers are arranged and placed in the picture with the catcus in the background. It is well focused and shows nice depth. My only complaint is that it might be a tad on the dark side. A little adjustment might bring the colors of the flowers out a little more. On my top 10 list for the challenge. Good luck!

Very pretty landscape shot. Definately shows flora. Sky just seems a little blown out...It must have been an overcast day. Also, the picture might be just a tad over sharpened. Otherwise, nice shot with excellent framing.
