Droppedby toiletboy99999Comment: The composition is a bit busy, and I don't really feel failure here. It looks like this is just an isolated moment in a long game. You did capture a terrific expression in a really nice stop-action shot, though. |

Totally In Distressby KitaComment: I like the colors, the composition and the great leading lines. The exposure and depth of field are also really great, but I don't really get a sense of failure from this one. Hopeless, but not particularly failure. |

Available: Commercialby elemessComment: It took me a few seconds to understand this image. The message you are trying to convey isn't quite obvious enough for viewers that vote here. Great coloring and interesting composition, but the sign to the left is a bit difficult to see at first. Keep in mind that voters only spend a few seconds on each image here. This one was likely passed over with lower votes since it didn't jump out with the obvious challenge detail. |

"Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street."by KenComment: I do get the feeling of failure from this capture, but it needs some work technically. The lighting is a bit harsh and really gives some harsh highlights and deep shadows on your subject. Nice composition, but I'd like to see a shallow depth of field to help isolate him from the background. |

Gear Failure: worn-out socksby fencekickerComment: Always try to use the full size parameters that DPC allows. Smaller images always lose detail. This is a nice capture with good contrasting colors, but I'd like to see it at 640 px. |

Oops!by TitiaComment: You can't park there! Mice capture, but the backlighting overpowers the subject. Well seen and nicely composed, but the lighting needs some work. |

Defeated..by agwrightComment: I like the idea, and the shot is well done from a technical standpoint. I think that the success of the standing pieces actually overshadows the failure of the lone, lying king. |

Failure to Put Out Fireby Shea927Comment: Your title choice pulls this one down a bit. I normally ignore titles, but I read this one since it wasn't immediately obvious what it was. It pulls it down since the fire is indeed out, it was just extinguished a lot too late. Nice idea, but the darkness of the charred interior makes is difficult to understand. |

Failed to Workby MartinKempComment: Interesting subject and a very nice macro shot. The lighting is a bit flat and the composition is plain. I do like the fact that the viewer can see the various working part and labels. Those work well at drawing the viewer's eye around the frame. |
