This is one of the best...LOVE all the stainless steel...a modern take on "Nighthawks" my favorite painting. The highlights/lowlights on the metal are fantastic, this picture has such wonderful energy and light...are real standout in a sea of skylines.

I CANNOT believe this picture placed where it did...this should be at the top, this is just so wrong. This is a truly wonderful picture in every way...and some of the comments just don't make a shread of sense...some seem so nitpicky and not very enlightened...this is wonderful ARTISTIC picture. Keep up the AWESOME work. : }

Sadness from within

Another "sadness" picture that isn't all that "sad". This is a really cool picture, but I really don't see "sad"...silly...goofy...pouty...yes. The blue hue and what look like swimming goggles make this seem very aquatic to me. Sadness and sorrow are really hard emotions to "fake" ...they seem to be emotions that must rise from the pits of our souls to appear genuine.

To me the title makes this somewhat confusing...he doesn't seem all that sad... more like " what the heck are you lookin' at ". It seems like the title is trying to suggest a certain mood/emotion that doesn't really exsist for the sake of drama? For example..."sad" carnival worker vs. "bored" carnival worker...on that note I really like this picture! The somewhat bored looking subject with that great text in the background on the ride he's working... action vs. inaction...I like the juxtaposition happening here.

This is a really wonderful spontaneous picture, perfect color and excellent clarity, I love their expressions...the frame and border diffusion are just a bit strange and distracting.
