This is not "The Son of Man"by MatthewComment: This needed to be validated? ( I think that's some string/monofilament I see coming from that apple? Not bothersome though. ) Hmmm...The best Magritte homage..nice light, nice clear colors esp. that red tie...maybe a little too much sharpness ? I'm not sure...but very nicely done indeed....that red tie is scrumptous. |

Cricket at Sunsetby elsapoComment: Beautiful macro, lovely colors but this doesn't meet the challenge for me at all..."light" doesn't seem to play a major roll here...that pretty little bug and luscious flower do. |

obsession picturesqueby messerschmittComment: This is truly gorgeous! I'm am actually almost speechless...the tones, the palette, the light...exquisite...10
Part 2: This is still absolutely magnificent... for me, it reminds me of a tarnished "Old Masters" painting/masterpiece...it has a completely interesting sooty...almost metallic quality about it...I actually want to buy a print of this... it has totally moved me...again, a very fine job. |

Four Thousand Eight Hundred True Watts @ 1/8000th of a Secondby JoelHSmithComment: So that's what they look like during the pop...great idea! Those reflections at the end of the bulb are amazing...for me, the crop is somewhat disconcerting, I'm not sure why...I think it's the long and squat proportion that's a bit strange for me..anyway, still an awesome image! |

Full Moon Risingby photogenixComment: I really find this image completely interesting...so amazing "simple", but so dramatic/high impact mixed with a bit of whimsy. The grain and grit is also very effective...for me this image has a really 1940's feel to it, probably suggested by the car...very film noir. My only little nitpick, and I do mean little... is that little black booger down at the lower left hand side, it could be easily cloned out if you have PS....again really cool image. |

Sunlight on grass with flower footlightsby puzzledComment: For me this just doesn't meet the challenge...I just don't see any really creative use of light happening here, nor is the "light" an integral part of this image...sorry. But I do think those greens are quite lovely, nice DOF. |

beauty in b&wby jensmustangComment: Th image is so small, I'm sure I'm not the first to mention this...it's also a little "flat" I don't see any true whites happening here...which is vital for a good B & W image. |

Dozing...by BlinksComment: Who's the artist?...of the sculpture I mean. This to me seems to much lke a photograph of someone elses work....maybe if there were more of the building showing I wouldn't feel that way. |
