Daddy's home!by SonifoComment: Sonja, congratulations on your ribbon! I'm so glad you included this thumbnail in your notes because, although I really like the one you ribboned with, this one just lights up the screen. You have wonderful talent, Sonja. |

Beachby GolferDDSComment: I feel so bad about the saturation problem on this shot. I love the sand, the layers, the footprints and the little trees. I'm sure you didn't see the pale blue background on your green tree before you submitted the shot - I have done that before where I thought everything was perfect, and it was, on my monitor, and then I was told about problems that were obvious to everybody else. Hey, at least you gave a real nice original photo, right? |

Battling the wavesby pitsamanComment: That is a very rough sea. I wouldn't want to be out there in that. I love the way you photographed this -- you brought the intensity of the waves up front. I would have liked the waves to be more in focus though. Well composed. |

Balancing Balloonsby BassieComment: First of all, this is a truly wonderful photo. I think it would benefit from a little contrast adjustment but it really is a terrific shot. |

"Julia"by grigrigirlComment: Wow, what an awesome photograph. So emotional. I love the darkness, the graininess, and your saturation work. It is one of those I would like a lot better without any color but then that wouldn't meet the challenge. 10 from me. |

Saxby graphicfunkComment: Great idea. I love photos of musical instruments for the most part but there are a couple of problems with this, mainly the reflected items in the horn are distracting. I find that photographing anything reflective is real tricky, you don't want to get burned out highlights and you don't want unwanted reflections. Also I think that having at least one end of the horn in the composition would be nice. I think the overall the exposure and clarity is super. |
