Paint It Black, Jackby gsalComment: The patterns in the paint give this photo some interest. For me, portraits are a little more effective when the subject/model is making eye contact with the camera/viewer--though I can see how that would be more difficult to do in this case. |

Sofia Huntingdogby neophyteComment: Good detail on the dog! Is it a German Shorthair? The cropping is a bit too close for my taste...the dog has such lovely mottled patterns in the fur, but that lends it to blending in with the background. So a little more background might help define the dog, instead of overpowering it. |

Surflessby frestepiComment: The composition (with the model in the right side) looks good to me! It's generally more effective (for portraits) to have the subject make some kind of eye contact with the camera/viewer. |

in the shipyard by arngrimurComment: Very emotive portrait here! Had to look twice to see what the background was :-) Lots of neat texture in this shot. |

Birthday Girlby FrostyPawsComment: The colors of this shot seem a little muted to me, perhaps because of the lighting (?) |

Tree Surgeon!by Ecce_SignumComment: Very creative idea! I really like the costuming of this shot!! Selective desat works pretty well here and I like the angle of the shot too. |

Portrait of a Riderby seebrownComment: I like the motion blur of the street quite a bit and you have a nice sharp shot of the rider. I think the photo might have more impact if the viewer could see the face of the model though. |

Queen of the Laundry Pileby margiemuComment: Lighting on this shot looks pretty good! I'm not a big fan of the downward angle of the shot--I might prefer something straight on at the model's level, with the washer and dryer behind. Good work on meeting the challenge description! |
