madamby BlackboxComment: This is a very interesting picture, I wonder how you could get that effect, but I don't think that the out of focus of what should have been the center of attention (the buttefly) is working well |

Trappedby bloodthirstyhoundsComment: It is a very creative and nice picture, but the quality is too low and I don't think that the wide white frame is helping the shot.
I like a lot the hands, their different color and backgrounds, but the central face should have attracted better the attention, be more clear, while especially the stain on the left side of the mouth is quite distracting.
I'm giving you a 5 only because I love the concept so much, but you should try to get a sharper and less grainy picture of the laptop display so next time you can make a better picture. Good luck! |

Little Manby rossbillyComment: This is very creative, I wonder how you did it! I like very much the image, but I am a little bit distracted by the harsh lighting of her face. Anyway a 7 |

Drift Awayby daboardergirlComment: This is my favorite of the challenge! Everything works well in this picture, I like the composition, the light, even the border (which usually I don't like). Very good job, I hope it scores well, good luck! |

...Only A Mother Could Loveby hotpastaComment: WOW! That's a wonderful one! It's the first time that I see a butterfly face :)
Excellent depth of field, I only wish I could see both antennas... I like this one better than the outtake, good choice |

Angel of Romeby hotpastaComment: This one is my favorite picture of your trip to Italy! Tell your daughter to come here and abandon Gwen Stefani, I want to see more of her work!
There is something in the light and in the composition that makes me feel as I could understand only now what the sculptor wanted to express with his art. I'm not sure of the location, but I would guess that it is one of the statues on the bridge in front of Castel Sant'Angelo. Well, if it is not, it doesn't matter, the kind of statue and the prespective of the shooting are the same. In any case, I did dozen of pictures of these statues and I couldn't get in the pictures the feeling that I had watching at them. They are majestic, powerful, light as air but heavy as stone, and they belong to another universe, and all this that I was not able to capture, was depicted by your daughter with a magic hand.
This picture makes me feel just the same as being in person in front of the statue and the sunlight coming through the cloud and caressing the top of the head of the angel gives me a vibrant emotion.
The perspective is also perfect, if closer it would have made the statue weird, if more distant it would have been flatter.
Please make an applause (a real one!) to Sarah on behalf of me! (and be a very proud father!) |

Pisa Sunsetby hotpastaComment: I watched the Italy folder of your portfolio and this one is my favorite among your pictures (I hope that you will be proud to know that the picture I like the most is not yours :). The sky is wonderful and I like very much all the details of the buildings that you were able to catch despite the contre-jour. I like the distortion too, the only thing I would change in this picture (but that's just my taste!) is that I would like to see a little bit more of sky, the tower seems pushed into the ground and not rising up. But that is only a subtle feeling that does not affect my overall enjoyment of the picture, which is wonderful. Bravo! |

Underhairby posthumousComment: I guess it took a lot of time to compose this one, but the result is not so good... I like very much the concept ot the flower/sun, but it would have been better on a clean sky, the sun cannot be beneath the clouds! Also the hairy island is a nice idea, it goes well with the other islands and I appreciate that you can see where it is hit by the sun rays, but its lower edge is too sharp, it looks like if it was scissor cut from another picture and pasted here. It doesn't merge with the rest of the picture and I think that the overall result is poor. But don't be discouraged, you have been very creative and I'm sure that if you exercise with this technique you can reach better results. Good luck! |

Lockby mellilotComment: Nice idea, but for my taste the crop is a bit tight and it's a pity that the soft focus makes it difficult to read the words... |

Tiffany's Hairby EvetsStneerComment: Nice picture, but the background is a little bit distracting. Her hair is amazing! Maybe you could have tried a different pose or perspective to draw the attention to it |
