The Energy of Sunsetby librodoComment: Superb. I thought I had finally grown tired of sunsets, that I'd never score another sunset above four or five. This blows that theory out of the water! I love the colors, the reflections, the silhouettes, the people and actions, and the sails. |

Standing Guardby NeuferlandComment: For what it is, it is probably just about ideally realized. Technically it seems just about flawless. But the composition feels cluttered to me, and off balance. The tension in the photo comes from the relationship between the young woman and the dog. I wonder if there is a crop which draws our attention to this a little better? |

Sitting on supperby arpitaComment: WOW. Took me a moment to warm up to it. I love the super sharp focus of the bee, and the bokeh of the flower. Nice composition, excellent technically. Great Job. |

A Walk in the Parkby bre53Comment: The cyan cast on the skin bothers me. And it's a littl hard to see what she's carrying; is that a high heeled shoe? I like the path and the tree, but this is not a flattering pose, IMO. |

Joyby JesuispeureComment: The expression and body language are exquisite. Photo is nicely framed and composed, except for the partial person in the left corner. Bubbles are wonderful.. I'm afraid I'm bothered by the blown highlights - though I understand the difficult conditions that may have necessitated them. |

Garden still lifeby jjbeguinComment: It's and extraordinary shot.
It would have been so easy for a photographer to ignore this pile of leaves, especially since it lacks the oranges and reds that draw our attention first. Rich textures in gray and pale yellow weave a strong image, drawn together by the mottled yellow palmate leaf near the center. For me it is a lesson in composition quite different than the ones I learn from most DPC shots that win challenges. Thanks. |

War of the Tacksby sofapezComment: The battle of rumper hill? The idea seems funny. I find the gore to be unecessary and distracting. |
