It's and extraordinary shot.

It would have been so easy for a photographer to ignore this pile of leaves, especially since it lacks the oranges and reds that draw our attention first. Rich textures in gray and pale yellow weave a strong image, drawn together by the mottled yellow palmate leaf near the center. For me it is a lesson in composition quite different than the ones I learn from most DPC shots that win challenges. Thanks.
