This is so simple, yet so stunning. Great tones, detail and composition. One of my favourites in the challenge.

Now that my comment about your photo is done... please bear with me while I use your image in a little comment experiment... something like K10DGuy's comments, but with a twist... the twist being, the story will move from one photo to another within the challenge.

Yours is the sixth in the sequence... :

The three ventured south... FAR south... but found nobody. They did manage to find the occasional pieces of vegetation, which they shared... however, they were tiring. They decided to take shelter from the sun in a cave and rest before they continued their trek to find others.

This is an absolutely breathtaking image. The balance of sky and ice, cloud and clear sky... brilliant... and the colours are perfect. Exceptional!

The three men roamed to earth looking for signs of life. No man, nor woman. No animal. No plant. There was nothing left, but the three of them. "Are we the meek that are to inherit the Earth" Boris asked. "What sort of inheritance is this? We have no food? We have nothing?" Sergei cried. It was getting cold and the trio hadn't found any signs of life in their own area, so they decided to head south, where it was warmer and they might find some food.

This is an excellent capture. I imagine it took a bit of planning, and a lot of patience to get this one. You've done well.

Ivan and Boris emerged from the subway station and were amazed at how empty the city was. They were soon joined by another man, Sergei. The three men roamed the city looking for signs of life... but there were none to be found. They were alone. What had become of their families, their friends? Where had all the animals gone?

This is a gorgeous image. I love the blue in the sky here, though the sky was almost entirely black on my other monitor. I hope people are using properly calibrated monitors and can see the details and colours in this image. The composition is excellent, and the flare... spectacular.

This is a beautifully captured moment. The colours and composition are superb... such drama in this image.

Outside of the confines of the station, death and destruction was sweeping across the globe. The sky was aflame, the stench in the air made it unbreathable. The streets were empty as people tried to take shelter from the impending doom.

I love the minimalism of this shot. It's clean, yet powerful. The leading lines take you to the commuters, who are perfectly framed within the architecture.

The well-to-do of the city were pleased with their new station. Sure, they had issues with the irregularity of the services, but the exceptional facilities provided by the new government at least made the waiting comfortable.

As Ivan and Boris made their way to their platform, they notice that there were very few people around... odd considering it supposed to be "rush hour".

Little did Ivan and Boris know, their brand new station had shielded them from the Apocolypse.

This is one of my highest rating images in the challenge. Excellent capture, composition and colours... particularly fond of the varying tones of green in the wall, and the form of the shadows, giving the image a naturally occurring vignette. Well done.

Now that my comment about your photo is done, I wonder if you'd mind if I use it to launch a little comment experiment... something like K10DGuy's comments, but with a twist... the twist being, the story will move from one photo to another within the challenge.

Anyway... here goes:

------------------

Olga sat on the bench, waiting for her train to arrive. It was late... again. The service wasn't what it once was. Sure life was harder under communism, but at least the trains ran on time. Olga's local train station had undergone a minor refurbishment, but it was a small station in a somewhat disadvantaged area of the city, so it, like its patrons, didn't get the same budget for maintenance and refurbishments as the station used the more affluent and powerful citizens ...

Hahahahaha.... The entire RANZ airforce caught in the one shot. Well done. ;)

Well composed, especially nice use of negative space. A slight longer exposure to get more blur in the propeller would have made this a tad better, though would have made it a harder shot to get.

I love it when I pick a hotpasta photo during voting :)

Well done on the top 20 finish. 6.36 is a good indication that your mojo hasn't abandoned you entirely... hold on... didn't you just get a blue ribbon in the Hope challenge! Yes... with a 7.06 nonetheless... What are you on about with eluded mojo. You're mojoed to the eyeballs!
