Eye Give Upby JuliBocComment: I can't believe this scored below 5. I thought this was a great image, and was one of few in the challenge that I gave an 8 to. |

Mourningby moriadelacroixComment: I'm putting my money on this one getting the blue ribbon. My favourite by far. I can look it for ages... the detail and the story is just enthralling... only think stopping me from giving it a 10 was the blurriness at the bottom right of the image. Well done. |

Making maggotsby gysComment: Great photo and you get bonus points for the title... made me laugh. Colours are great, image is sharp, DOF is perfect... only fault I can spot is the cropped foot centre-top. |

Dockland's Boatsby kaiser_chiefComment: Did you process this on your laptop? Over sharp and a bit dark on my screen here.
Looking forward to seeing your sofobomo book. |

Royal Exhibition Buildingby kaiser_chiefComment: I see it too Roz. Reckon it's an optical illusion caused by the difference in gaps between the trees and the roof line. The shot seems a bit too tourist snap like. "Oh, a beautiful building " as you were walking down the street. Getting closer, not having it centers etc would have helped this shot a bit. Processing wise... colours look good. That's about it... would be interested to HDR this to see if you could get more out of the sky. |

Aerial Refueling by CorySmithComment: This is an absolutely phenomenal image. Brilliant! To have the opportunity to take such a shot is mind blowing in itself, but that you've executed it as perfectly as you have just blows me away. This is one of my all-time faves on DPC. |

Got a little Captain in ya?by kingdesmondComment: Captain Morgans has to be one of the worst rums about... it is the enemy of the rum drinker. I like the idea of linking alcohol and driving as enemies, so the idea is brilliant... but the keys are a little lost, the composition isn't great, the shallow DOF doesn't help the image, not does the lighting. And what is that in the bottle (center bottom)? Very distracting... |

The Face Of Cowardiceby kingskingdomComment: This is indeed a very powerful image. At first I cringed at the cultural aspect of it, but on reflection, thought that it's only the terrorist i.e. cowards that cover their faces in this way and thus realised the errors of my instinctive reaction. The lighting here is excellent, as is the composition and sharpness. I truly hope that this doesn't suffer b/c of people voting on their initial reaction to this and stop and think. Excellent photo. Should do well. |
