This Grand Building sits on the edge of the Melbourne CBD, and was the Building used for the First Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia. Its surrounded by gardens (which make it hard to get a good uninterupted view.

Constructive Criticism and Ideas for improvement (especailly with Processing) very welcome

Looks like it could stand a bit more brightness. That might help the color have a little more pop. You included the trees so it would be nice to see them a bit better.

Hmmmm. The building is a little tilted to the right, but it would only matter to folks who have been around DPC too long! 8)

Nice shot of a beautiful building with lots of lovely detail. Maybe make things a little brighter, but that's just me.

I see it too Roz. Reckon it's an optical illusion caused by the difference in gaps between the trees and the roof line. The shot seems a bit too tourist snap like. "Oh, a beautiful building <snap>" as you were walking down the street. Getting closer, not having it centers etc would have helped this shot a bit. Processing wise... colours look good. That's about it... would be interested to HDR this to see if you could get more out of the sky.

great shot of the building .. it looks so cold .. :)
altho your building is exactly horizontal, for some reason the building looks like its slightly tilted down on the right . could be the trees on either side creating the optical illusion ... i wonder if anyone else sees it like that .. ?
