ROBBERFLYby rozComment: Sharp, perfect detail, perfect colour, perfect composition... macro of a bug... ummm... let me guess :)
This is one of my top 3 highest scorers, and if history is to tell us anything, this should score well... and rightfully so. This is exceptionally executed... and despite 2 other bug macros which might have tried to pass itself off as the signature style of one of DPCs greatest, this is my pick of the crop... by far.

Ultraby zeuszenComment: One of my favourite images of the challenge... and one that I'm predicting will be under appreciated by the voters of DPC, which will likely lead to another long and passionate discussion about the "closed minded" voters around here :)
I love the mystery and the art of this image... most definitely an image worthy of mounting and hanging on a prominent wall in my home. Well done, and I hope above all hope that this does get the love it deserves with the voters.

Back to Lizard Head Rockby hotpastaComment: This is one of my favourites in the challenge, and given the quality of submissions, that's saying a lot... but given the likely photographer, no surprise that I like it. Title is a give away (for someone who has admired your work for some time) and I have to say that I much prefer this to the previous Lizard Head Rock photo... the birds, the processing and the fisheye lens... all add something extra, something special, to the image. Love it.

"I think it might be the transmission."by Covert_OddityComment: I love this sculpture in Sydney. Parked near it when in Sydney last and visiting The Rocks. There's a lot here in this image that takes the viewer away from the subject, to the detriment of the image. Perhaps a shallower DOF might have helped, or a different angle to eliminate some of the objects in the background. I like the details and the colours you've got with the capture and processing.
Not voting yet... will come back later. |
