Interesting take on the challenge! I think this might have a little more impact if it were cropped tighter. Focusing more on the reporter and the paper with the lines on it (crop a lot from the left).

Nice detail. I think it would have more impact if you changed the camera angle so the stem (?) was fully against the gray background.
