Cross Braceby jdannelsComment: Plenty of X's here, and my eyes aren't wandering around aimlessly. Not the most interesting of subjects, I'm afraid (even for a future civil engineer). Good colors. I'm sure moving the subject off-center (to the left) would've made it lose some X-ness, but it may have worked better composition-wise. 6 |

the X fliesby tnunComment: The X doesn't pop out at me. Other than that, it's great - good detail, the very blurry background IS working for me in this case (looks almost like parchment), and good subject placement (NOT dead-center). 7 |

Red Canoe and Tropical Paradiseby scooter88Comment: Although the X is not the first thing that jumps out at me, it's big and it's ON the first thing that jumps out. Nice, crisp colors on the boat (kind of oversaturated on the sky), and good sharpness and DOF. I would've liked the horizon to be straight. 7 |
