The Great Oakby Fellow EskimoComment: What a tree! And great light, too. I bet this looks a million times nicer as a giant print or computer wallpaper. Good luck - hope this does well! |

pa and his train together againby EmyloyComment: Even though this is perfectly centered, which seems to be a no-no around here, I like it! The image is clear with beautiful colors and clarity. Unfortunately, you lose a point for the size, I'm sorry. I love the title! |

Old Friendby GoodEndComment: You've met the challenge - definitely looks like an old shoe! Unfortunately, the image doesn't have much to keep my interest, but I can't really say why. I suppose it might get a better reaction if it were less tightly cropped and if the toe wasn't so sharply lit. |

Locked and Forgottenby talikfComment: This is such a great idea! I like the concept, but don't care for the excessive neat image. Also, I might have chosen a slightly wider crop, if possible, in order to make the lock less centered in the photo (this would add interest, in my opinion). The cobwebs at the bottom are my favorite touch here - nice! |

Basillicaby ronnytComment: Wonderful leading lines and what a gorgeous building! There seems to be a lot of post-processing here - I can't decide if I like that or not, hmmm. I guess I would prefer a bit less post-processing. Otherwise though, I like this image very much for the reasons stated above. Good luck with the challenge! |

Two Old Friendsby aberrationComment: The tombstone in the foreground with its blowouts and that shadow draw my eye completely away from the much better background. The sky and the right side of the fence are my favorite parts of this image. I would give this a higher score if the image were of just those three objects: The tombstone in the back, the fence, and the sky. |

History rusting awayby joesonComment: There's a slight red cast on the image, visible in the blacks and greens. Awesome tractor though and good dof though! Looks like an oldie (the barn, too). |

soft song from the pastby SeanachaiComment: Very, very beautiful image! I really like having the human touch in these "something old" shots. It's easy to imagine the title from your image. Nice job. |

ye olde geary thingyby Jaded_HousewifeComment: For me, it's a little too bright on the left side and the focus seems to be perfect on the round thing that's half cut out of the frame on the right. I think if you had been able to get the focus on the 'olde geary thingy'*, it would've increase the score by at least a point or two.
*I think your title is great :-) |
