I like this very much; it seems to catch some of the mystery that cats have.

Excellent shot. Although I don't see it on my cinema display, when viewing this photo on my Samsung SyncMaster, it looks as though parts of the background have been blacked out using a square brush, but the black used is darker than the original background of the image, revealing the technique.

Just saying to myself how I'm a bit over cat shots from the last couple of challenges and then your cat shot appears and I loved it! The first one that I have seen in ages that is completely captivating. Love everything about it. Hope your top 10. Scored this a 10.

First, I' not a fan of cats and I struggle with voting on phoos of them. In order to get past that, the photo of the cat has to be very good. This is maybe the first cat photo that made me want to stop and pause. So why is that ... the eye is a wonderful colour and in nice sharp focus. The colours of the cats fur are nice as are the details. The black background ensure that the cat is the ocus of the photo. So good work!!!

Vivid and powerful, one of the best kitty pix I've ever seen. How'd you get the sweetie to hold so still? :P

Great macro. Love the "half face." The whiskers and eyes are spot on. Very well done. 9
