Beautiful! Sorry for the overused comment, but it really is beautiful. Can't figure out what it is and that adds to the interest. The thing at left holds my interest and the little blobs of purple are wonderful.

The girl in the background is like a ghost and her pink dress or shirt add to the mystery in the otherwise dark surroundings. Perfect for this challenge in my opinion! Another thing I really enjoy in this picture is the ceiling, because of its shimmery and interesting lines.

Stark Horizon

This is one of my favorite of all the seascapes in this entry because of it's simplicity. Would've scored it high in the zen challenge as well. Actually, since I like the image so much, I probably would've scored it high in just about any entry :-) The color graduations are very calming, as is the fact that you have left the subtleness of the colors alone. The only criticism is that I'd like to see more detail (maybe) in the water. Is it a tiny bit blurry there, or it might just be me.

This is frustrating for me because I love the image, hate the neat image though. I want to see the texture in those barrels and on the pavement, especially since it's a rough setting - the artificial smoothness from processing really throws me off balance. It occurs to me that maybe that's what your after. If so, well you see one person's reaction to the effect anyway. What I love about the image is the composition, with the 2 1/2 barrels in the foreground. I like this colors, particularly the pinks and lavenders and the green text that is framed by those colors. I like the general messiness - the forbidden sign, the post, etc.

I think this is a very good idea for an abstract. The focus on the petals and the blown spots, particularly in the lower left center (in the green) are both unfortunate in my opinion. I like the way the fan of petals takes up the entire frame. Beautiful symmetry portrayed here.

Wow, what a landscape!! Could this be Colorado? You've done a super good job of retaining the clairity in everything while still showing the details in shadow and light areas. The reflections of the clouds on the river are breathtaking - the leading line of the river, leading the eye to the left third of the image is perfect.

The subject and the light are nice. I have two critiques that I hope are helpful. If you intended it this way, please forgive me: To me, there seems to be a yellow overtone that isn't quite natural. Also I'd like to see stronger focus in the left side of the image (so that it's as strong as in the right hand side). I love the way you got the masts in the water. The water is probably my favorite part of your image. There's so much to look at there and it's very calming.

I wish so much that I could make color like this. The coloring matches the 50's feel very well. The guy in the back should move, though. Those are some serious tatoos!
