Dahliaby KazComment: I predict high placement for this one. It's slightly blown out (VERY slightly), but that has the effect of smoothing the highlights. My only real issues are that it could be a TAD sharper, and the shadowing of the rear petals is unfortunate. You get a 9 anyway. |

UFO by indigo997Comment: Shazam! That's a brilliant photo. My only question is if it was an actual submerged photo, or is there a tank here? |

Strikeby KonadorComment: Good shot in darkness. A little soft on the focus on the matchstick itself, but that could be the product of heavy lighting at the flame blowing out other highlights. |

Bring a Pen and Paperby zadoreComment: Great idea. Focus is the only problem I have with it, and I can't tell if you planned soft focus. 9 |

The Smithfield Street Bridgeby alanfreedComment: Funk-ola. I have taken MANY like this one, and I'm curious about the red foreground. Is it due to a train signal? This has to be 4 or maybe 8 seconds, yes? Honestly, I like the photo, though I don't think it truly embodies the idea of neg space. 7 |

Oasisby floydComment: I might have been inclined to shoot this one in BW, as the dead plants are integral to the lonely image of the tree, and BW tends to emphasize that broken feeling. |

Swansby sulamkComment: Interesting. How did you get the top background to disappear without the bloom from an overblown edge? |

A shade of negitiveby justineComment: ooey-gooey! I love it. It is a strangely sharp dropoff of focus field after the flower, which almost makes it look false. I might have stopped down one or two to get a smoother perspective fade. 8.5 doesn't exist, so 9 will do. - mjcecil |
