Momentby MaverickComment: Gravestones striking but seem overexposed - yet tree trunks are so dark - perhaps taken at a time of day when the lighting was too harsh. Compositionally not very strong - the position of the trees within the frame doesn't add to the image - why was it taken from this exact viewpoint? would turning a few degrees in one direction provide stronger shapes/ balance? What about getting lower down nearer the ground? |

Silence at dawnby kghoshalComment: There's another entry with a more spectacular sunset, with added interest from the silhouette of land and the inclusion of the sun. But that one is let down for me by the inclusion of a powered motor boat - not my idea of silence. Your image implies a more peaceful, silent journey, but for me, is let down by weak composition, tilted horizon and lack of additional interest. I'm also not sure that the centred position of the boat is the strongest choice. |

Pensiveby julia103Comment: I think this would benefit from a square composition - take off the left hand side so you're cropping in to touch his head. There is still detail and texture from the wire fence behind his left shoulder but composition seems stronger. |

Quiet Conversationby HRoxasComment: I'm not a religious person but this image certainly helps convey how the splendour of one's surroundings can inspire one to greater intensity of worship. |

Silent Lucidityby dacrazyrnComment: Hard-hitting, gritty, almost reportage style. Very good choice to go black and white. |

Icy Solitudeby jrs915Comment: An abandoned picnic table, which was once surrounded by the happy laughter and chatter of family picnic antics... black and white certainly helps convey the sense of age. |

Don't say a wordby KINGComment: Overkill on blue toning... doesn't add a thing for me, actually it detracts. Image otherwise is strong. |
