Street Playby jjbeguinComment: A lovely image. I'm assuming it's a candid - even if not, it has a candid feel about it. Nice use of light and good choice to go black and white. |

_ _ _ T I F Yby librodoComment: I don't understand why the title has only TIFY showing when the wrist bands in the image show "..estify". The image itself is strong, moody and those eyes really keep me focused. |

picture this...by coldaComment: This to me is a great (though not original) idea that has not been executed as well as it could have. Why do I say that? Because, if one uses a frame to highlight a segment of the overall image, there should be some discernable compositional strength to what is included within that frame. Whilst I like the inclusion of the bike, and it's lower left position within the frame, I really dislike the inclusion of a series of anonymous legs. I also don't like the way the curb fights for attention with the left vertical of the frame. I also can't see that what is outside of the frame adds much to the image - those women at the right are quite distracting. I think it would be nice to have the frame used to isolate one small detail or scene (the bike would work) within a larger scene (the street) but ensure that interior and exterior both had interest and strength. If this doesn't make sense, just drop me a line, though I'm offline for a week so don't be upset if you don't get an immediate response. :o) |

Drifting Apartby sherComment: I like how the framing provides an understanding of the environment and also how the two gravestones are alone in the field. Unusual. |

Through the Keyholeby DougPazComment: What a superbly realised keyhole peeper photo. The eye contact works very well, the choice to show just that amount of nose and mouth and face is also spot on. The slight tilt of the face is just right. Lighting works. All in all this comes together well. Whereas normally I'd prefer to see detail in the foreground subject (such that it not be simply a custom border shape) I think that's not relevant when the shape itself is as recognisable as a keyhole shape. Am I right to assume this is not a real keyhole but a much larger one cut into card? |

mug shotby whiteroomComment: Lovely idea and I like the clean, modern result. I'd personally crop a touch more from the bottom. |

View from a Castleby BobsterLobsterComment: I like the shape of the opening but find the foreground frame is essentially just providing an uneven border here rather than being an object in it's own right. That said, I like the image very much. The composition of what one can see through the frame is excellent - position of the lighthouse works very well. Cloud detail provides nice balance. |

Holes in the Wallsby bruskiComment: I really like the frame itself - the shape, viewpoint and textures are great. I'm not as keen on the view that is being framed, I just don't find it very appealing. Did you take any similar shots from some of the other tunnels? Just wondered. |

Like a llama...or an Emu by PedroComment: I love the way the fencing here not only creates a frame (which improves the image on a compositional level) but also provides a context by communicating the bird's captive status. Black and white works very well. Catchlights in the eyes are just right. Nicely out of focus plants in background add interest but don't distract. Excellent! |
