Aside from its obviously beautiful color, really excellent tonal values (note the not-quite-ilhouettes, rich in shadow detail), and strong sense of "family at play", there's another aspect of this image that's enthralling, and this is the sense of "altered scale".

Note how all the image elements are essentially on a single visual plane, and how the tree is the same visual size as dad. Note the "person-sized" cloud drifting gently off to the right, as if towards tomorrow's future.

The more I look at this image the more I like it. I honestly feel that in a "real world" sense this is one of the better images ever to ribbon in DPC. It's intensely human and superbly metaphorical.
