Silver Tacksby EvaanComment: I like the quiet abstraction of this. A very appeaking entry. I particularly liek the precise way the curve of the left tack is tangent to the edge of the paper. Was this a happy accident or soemthign you worked at? |

Tack Sharpby MontereykiddoComment: There's a wonderful purity to this, but I wish it were truly squared up; that seems to me vital to the concept. Strong "minimalist" entry. |

Tack Attackby GolferDDSComment: The best "horde of tacks" in the challenge. High points for patience in setting this up. How long did it take you anyway? The lighting seems alittle bland. Strong entry. |

Fortress around your Mind by arnitComment: Wonderfully orginal both conceptually and compositionally. Takes a veryhigh score from me, I hope others are open enough in their thinking to accept all that negative space for what it is and what it does to the gravitas of the image. |

Tack Sharpby hopperComment: Conceptually, sharp as a tack. Technically, pretty blah to me. BG is forgettable, and one would have liked to see lighting that enhanced the sense of sharpness on the razor's edge. |

Spike a Drink by TranquilComment: Ther had to be a "splash" entry to round out the "classic themes" reprisal aspect of this challenge, and here it is. Nicely done, a littlke shy on the DOF. I love the way the slight arc of the tack's point has created its own, mini-event down there. |

Refracted Tacksby NordlysComment: Another classic DPC theme reprised in "tacks"... I wish the tacks were sharper, though. |

tAcKs iN SpAcE by MickComment: This has GOT to ribbon. There's not another image in this challenge that's close to it. I just hope this ain't Scalvert, 'cuz if it is he's stuck in a rut of a magnitude equal to Zoomdak and his "damned beach", which is certain to make a reapperance in both Free Study and Rocks Scissors paper, IMO.

Anyway, this is beautifully constructed and shot, whoever made it. |

Sunset Bow (16x20)by NeilComment: I cannot imagine improving this. It's so pleasing to see a restful image among the loud, "look at me!" shost that so often dominate this site. |
