Sea Urchin, Beauty in Deathby BethanComment: I like the black on black approach. A little more contrast might have emphasized the abstract nature of this a little more. I'm not sure about the composition, though. The placement of the urchin doesn't seem to accentuate anything to me. It seems to put the hole in the urchin in the rule of thirds position, but at the expense of sacrificing the right side of it and leaving an empty space to the left. |

Born Hunterby Canadian_ehComment: Nice job getting him/her to pose. The background is just a little bit distracting and the focus looks a little soft. Still a nice portrait, though. |

The Boy Who Giggled So Sweetby gsalComment: Nice timing and composition. Personally, though, I think the selective desat would have been better in the opposite direction to emphasize the subject and de-emphasize the background. |

A Brother's Loveby BudComment: Great timing. I like the sepia effect on this. The composition might be a little better centered between the boys, though. |

Sun Conureby Kari48Comment: Great colors. Good composition. The background is a little distracting. It might have been better with a more natural looking background. Also, the subject is not quite a sharp as I would like. |

Emotionsby DeniseBernadetteComment: Nice shot. Perfect focus and good composition. This is one of those situations where it might have been better to zoom out and show the full arm and hand to he/she pointing (if in fact they were). Of course that might not have worked at all, though :) |
