Forked Tongueby hopperComment: This is a neat idea. Seeing how the subject of the image is the fork I wish the fork was in focus. Good choice of B/W to minimize distractions from the subject item. Good luck in the challenge. |

Odd Ballby hollisterGqComment: I'm really bummed to see this image. It's a nice shot, but WHY did you have to post it in one of the outtake threads? I'm just getting around to voting/commenting the last couple of days and had I seen this in the challenge prior to the outtake thread I wouldn't have commented on it in the outtake thread. I would wager you'll take a bit of a hit from those that saw it posted...
Anyway, good luck in the challenge. |

Precious oddity of natureby MontagueComment: Wonderful colors and I love the DOF on this. Well composed...what's not to like! A rare 10 from me - super job! Good luck in the challenge. |

Performance Enhancementby srdanzComment: Srdanz - I almost wonder if the message got lost with the global community here at DPC? I think it's a great idea and certainly shouts "Cheater" - has been lots of publicity about it in US papers for sure. I like the composition, the only down side I have is I think you went a tad too dark for the basketball player. Monitor calibration is an issue here at DPC, and many voters may have had a hard time with this. Just a thought.
Smile and keep having fun! ;^) |

Two (Even)by BudComment: The boats really pop in this image. Don't know if you had the equipment to tighten in on the boats, but that could have done very well. As is, it's ok...a little busy and the boats get diminished as far as overall impact to the image. |

Bridgeby FerretComment: These are fun...having the focal point up front with a key item OOF in the background. I wish the front tip of the pine tree branch was in focus also.
Did you try a minor curves adj to give the sky a bit more saturation/deeper blue?
Nice capture overall. Smile and keep having fun! ;^) |

Hayby KivetComment: I love the warm color of the hay bales. You caught the lighting (time of day) just right for this - very rich tones. Nice deep blue sky as well.
Composition works well also with the barbed wire coming thru, the front weeds in a nice ROT position, and the back hay bales filling in the 2/3 spot. Good choice on DOF.
Well done! Smile and keep having fun!!! |

German Shepherd Bescaby claudsComment: Beautiful Shepherd. Nice choice of using late day sun for this capture. Well composed with off-centered positioning. Good shade of blue in the sky. May want to try messing a bit with some minor curves adjustment to see if you can make the sky pop just a bit more.
Smile and keep having fun! BTW, we have a Shepherd too. ;^) |

Camo-Frogby rox_roxComment: Ah-HA! So now I see where you are going for the next challenge! Just kidding. ;^)
I like this shot. The detail around the head and the feet is great. The way this is put together it's hard to determine if you're shooting down the tree or up the tree. Pretty cool. Well done!
Smile and keep having fun! |

Head in the Sandby ArtysteComment: Neat idea. I like how you mirrored one image to use on both ends. I think the composition is a bit tight...could have used a bit more negative space, especially at the top. Also looks like the spacing is off just a tad...the right divider is wider than the left.
Pretty cool to get your kid to do this and capture it with your camera. Good luck in the challenge. |
