Driftby brizmamaComment: Clean, sharp, and well thought out. Should do well with this. Good luck. |

Red Endby GiorgioComment: This is nice. The person lends a hand to the "lines" here and helps to draw the viewer into the photo. The person is actually the first place my eyes want to rest - then move to the end. Nicely done. Oh ya, the technicals are fine too. ;^) |

into the blackby robaComment: Classic use of lines here to lead the viewer. I wonder if this would have had more impact with a little more rail? The "black" entrance is competing for dominance here. Overall, nicely done. Good luck. |

( Landing Complete )by ApeeComment: Not sure what it is, nor does it matter...you've done a nice job of using lines to "Lead" the viewer into this image and having some focal point at the destination. I'm just observing/commenting this challenge. Good luck! ;^) |

Sharpby bbrightComment: This has a nice abstract feel to it. I'm a little conflicted as to what set of lines are doing the "Leading" here. Don't get me wrong, I like the photo overall, just not getting a sense of flow or purpose. No worries, not voting, only observing/commenting. ;^) |

Elecitic Personalityby theyetifanclubComment: Good use of tone to create the effect you have with the background blending with her pants (I'll need to view at home on calibrated monitor). Her placement in this gives a sense of motion, like she's walking out of the image. To me that's a good thing in this scenario, although many will argue that your subject should have space to "move into". Good luck in the challenge. |

Electric Treeby moosemayhemComment: This shouts electricity! Well titled also. The simple blue sky contrasts well with the pole and lines. Good luck in the challenge. |

Miniatureby mannjuditComment: Clever Juxtaposition. Very nice exposure on the lamp. Overall I wish the entire image was brought up a notch or two, but hey, if the lights on I guess it's nearing dark. ;^) |

Transporting Electricity on a stormy dayby kris_photosComment: This is "ok". Unfortunately, this subject is a popular one for this challenge and a couple of them are a bit more interesting compositionally and with a little more "zing". This could be stronger IMO with a stronger angle where the power lines are coming across the image more (keep the tower straight - just move the photographers POV). Color? How'd it look? The sky has some interesting clouds... All of the above is JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

consumptionby yianisnComment: Hello Yianis. Yep, figured this was yours by seeing your post in the Electric scores thread in the forum. Only one with that title. ;^) Generally identifying your entry is a bit taboo until the challenge voting is over.
As for your image it feels like a cross between an abstract and a slightly blurry whoops. Seriously, if this was sharper, without the blur/fuzziness, it would be doing a little better. The abstract part of it makes the viewer slow down enough to look at it to figure out what it is, which is good.
Good luck in the challenge. |
