Delicateby pidgeComment: If you're going to use flowers, at least use real ones. :D Nice concept and thought behind this. The lighting is fine and the photo is well balanced. Just that darn plastic... Good luck in the challenge. |

Indiscriminant Shadowsby SherwinJamesComment: This has a fun rhythm to it. Stock photo kind of feel as well. Nice job with the lighting overall. I think for this challenge I would have done a slight desat on the yellow, but that's JMO. Good luck in the challenge. |

Dumped in Limboby renefunkComment: Interesting expression on her face. While it's a neat photo, it seems so unrealistic and staged for some reason. The technicals are there and everything...I don't know, maybe if you had gone for a high-key look instead? Sorry I can't be more specific. I like it on technical merits, but not so much for the challenge I guess is what I'm saying. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Winter is hereby garlicComment: Interesting shadow play in this photo. Fun to look at and I like the POV you've taken in your approach to getting this shot. Overall, I think the photo is too dark for the intent of this challenge. The snow is your background (i.e. - "White"), and the branches/tree is your subject (which should be "Light"). JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Backlit Bougainvillaeby XileboComment: This is nice overall. Not sure that there's enough "white" in the background in terms of what this challenge is about for many viewers/voters. Personally I think it's "ok", but borderline. I keep finding myself looking at the glass on the right, it's really an attention getter. Did you consider using a white vase of white glass/cup instead? Just a thought. The way you've put this together is interesting using the angle that you have - it works just fine this way. Could have used it in the 'Diagonal' challenge as well. :D Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Simplicityby xXxscarletxXxComment: Simple is good. :D I don't know if it's the subject itself that makes it appear to be a little soft, but the leading edge of the tiara (sp?) isn't as sharp as I thought it would be (leading edge meaning the part where the large bottom jewels meet the material they are resting on). The high center point seems to be where this photo is the sharpest, but my eye is drawn to the lower left first. Anyway, sorry for the long ramble. I still like this entry for it's simplicity. Good luck in the challenge. |

Allisonby dwterryComment: This is a wonderful portrait. Wonderful lighting, clarity, and attention to detail. Nicely done! I'd wish you luck in the challenge, but somehow I don't think you need it. :D |

The Maskby MakkaComment: Very clever. :D Fun too! Only thing that seems strange from here is the white background is splotchy with an area starting in the top third, over and around the mask, and finishing in the top right, that is a dull flat off-white. The rest is a true white. Looks like an area of selection in post-processing perhaps? Maybe it's just this cruddy monitor I have to use at the office. :P Anyway, best of luck to you in the challenge. |

The way to woman's heartby krakurComment: I like your selection of aperture here to obtain the DOF that works well here. The OOF areas are creating some nice bokeh. I do wish the at least some of the background was a true white rather than greyish. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |
