Half Past Nineby Dax-Comment: Good lord?!?! What do you have to do to win, give your first born?!? Exceptionally underrated. Voters don't understand you, I do. Unfortunately the more abstract art doesn't do well here :(
Beautiful image Bea. |

Chocolate Mooseby idnicComment: Good pun. It just didn't grab my eye for some reason. Does appear oversharpened. I think I would have liked to see more of a "nature scene" made with the chocolate, like a pond and lilies and bullwinkle was walking through that; or maybe somebody sitting at a table with fork, ready to eat mr moose - albeit with a quizzical look on their face. Hmmmm. Or maybe a persimmon?
Merry Christmas. :)
Edit
I think when looking at the photo I'm trying to decide if the moose is chocolate or is it wood; I think this mental debate, especially for someone of my limited mental facilities, obviously took away from my photo-enjoyment. Message edited by author 2005-12-26 08:37:40. |

ruddy_barn.jpgby wavelengthComment: I like the lights and colors of the clouds. I would like to have seen more color depth out of the sky but that would have been difficult w/o a polarizing filter. I like the barn and the grasses. My opinion: a more powerful crop would be to lop off the top of the sky, at least down to the main set of clouds. Overall nicely done photo. |

impendingDOOM.JPGby wavelengthComment: This photo I really like. It's very powerful with the colors and shadows. Very striking. Seems there are artifacts around the branches, or it could be parts of the clouds - it's hard to tell. Overall: wow! |

alight.jpgby wavelengthComment: Seems just a toad of the left wing is oof, but that's minor. I like the crop, agreeing with Jimmy - I'd have cropped his way but this works for the photo: the butterfly getting ready to go off into the unknown. For whatever reason the photo doesn't pop for me, I think it might be either contrast or green saturation. All in all a very nice photo - very good job. |

Half Past Nineby Dax-Comment: Ten. Blue ribbon. This is beautiful work, ma'am. Beautiful. Your dof has to be approx. 1cm at best. If you don't ribbon here and I'm going to be disappointed with many voters. |
