I like the framing and the colours, although I feel that, perhaps, the focus is slightly behind the butterfly, in that the leaves behind it are quite sharp, whereas the tips of the wings are going out of focus slightly. However, given the difficulty of capturing these little creatures, I don't think that this is at all bad. Perhaps darkening the leaves slightly and bumping the saturation on the butterfly (red admiral?) might give it all a little extra punch. In addition, there are a few splotches on the lower left that might be cloned out to good effect. I feel that these detract from the smoothness of the background. Overall, a nice job.

This is really a great photo.... I like your crop as it emphasizes the difference in color of the butterfly against the green background

I love butterfly pics. This one has great color and DOF. Left wing is a little out of focus but not enought to distract from the overall quality of this photo.

The bright green, blown, leaves, top and right, are distracting. Crop most of them out or desaturate/darken them.

Seems just a toad of the left wing is oof, but that's minor. I like the crop, agreeing with Jimmy - I'd have cropped his way but this works for the photo: the butterfly getting ready to go off into the unknown. For whatever reason the photo doesn't pop for me, I think it might be either contrast or green saturation. All in all a very nice photo - very good job.

This is really nice. Unusual crop, but I think it works. I would have probably cropped it with the butterfly in the bottom right, but as I said, I think you made it work well. I like the DOF too - great natural color tones and not too much brightness. Good job.
