Januaryby marboComment: Quite simply breath-taking scenery, perfect for a callendar. The image does seem industrial and flat - a commication perhaps fitting for the middle of winter. The warm sepia skies look rather out of place however. Perhaps blues have a place here after all? This contrast gives the image an abstract feel, perhaps more suitable for an art book I feel. |

Novemberby JondorComment: Perfect callendar picture here! Clean, simple, communicative, dimensionally and spatially brilliant frankly. The frame sets this picture off perefectly. Well done! 10. |

Novemberby geewhyComment: A perfect callendar scene. I might have preferred the trees to be less cropped vertically, but I feel this deserves an easy eight given the challenge scope. |

September in the Mojaveby moviemanComment: This is a nice composition, ideal for a callendar. The horizon, though sloping, seems perfectly correct. Depth is excellent. Focus within that depth spot on. Was the sky really that bright? Or would some form of lens filter have been useful? High exposure is a little distracting in the lower/left quadrant. An easy 7. |

November - Audubon Societyby scrum8Comment: Now there is some focus on some focus! This would make a nice callendar photo imo. The cropping is good, though perhaps the bird could be a little lower in the frame. Your aperture setting here has worked very well. 6. |

Novemberby lwkimagesComment: Wonderful capture of aging by weather. I do feel the the upper crop should have been alittle higher so as not to "cramp in" the closer window. An ideal calendar picture. 7. |

Novemberby dphillipsComment: Excellent callendar shot with good seasonal depiciton. I'm curious, did you wait for the sun to be in the perfect position or set up multiple flashes in low light? The cropping is perfect imo. 7. |

decemberby mrsamsaComment: This is great concept! Humans mixing pleasure and nature despite the autum. I like it. A shame the near face is over exposed just a little, and I feel the subjects are alittle too cramped within the frame. A taller crop perhaps? 7. |

Novemberby TooCoolComment: Nice composition. Love the exposure, focus and use of grain here. A wonderfully timed shot and eloquentlycropped. I would have liked to see the wing tips extending just shy of vertical center to keep the "I am bird therefore I fly" feel. Perfect callandar shot. 8. |

Novemberby KathycComment: The more I look at this, the more I like it. The grain and softness combined with the blue tones chill me to the bone. Perfect seasonal composition. The cropping just to left of "centered" add to the communication in the warm but sad eyes. Strangely striking photo given it's softness. I love it. 10 (The first from me thus far as a new member.) |
