Hi Kristine and greetings from the critique club, :) Just kidding, I am not a member of the critique club, I really would like to give my opinion in here.

First of all, the softness that you are worried about, I simply love it, I don't care what the rest say, I love the dreamy effect, and if was intended then you achieved it perfectly.
3 things I don't like '' hiding behind my desk ''

1- The distracting background, she is beautiful, you chosen the style that matches her beauty, just too many darn distracting subjects in the background, the white thing back left, the tableau top right, I'd either remove them, or control the light more that they are dark. Or simply '' if not in a challenge '' burn and darken them to the maximum.

2- Th shoes, I think it would be more sexy to have her bare foot.

3- And last, he smile, I am not sure if a direct eye contact and smiling achieve the mood. I'd rather her looking camera left down with a serious expression on her face, or look at the camera with a serious expression.

This is of course my 2 cents, I hope my critique is taken in a positive way, the only reason I commented on this picture is because I simply love what you did with it. and btw it is the only picture I commented on at this challenge, very well done and keep up the good work, you are at the right way :)

Seems too many wanted to put it down for its potential, allot are not playing fair. Too many DPCiers are not with anything that has a white background,

This is one of my top favorites in this entry,
I liked how it gives the feeling it was a studio shot :) you need a to publish another book, how to get a horse into a studio 101 :)
I like it the way it is, there are tons of pictures like this with sunsets and landscapes Marlboro style, but this one stands out, I gave it 10, and still love it, very well done :)
