I think this would be a lot better without the dog. It's a perfectly nice dog, but it doesn't really add anything to the impact of the image, so it just seems out of place.

I honestly don't find this sort of extreme high key all that appealing, particularly for a human subject. I also don't like some of the yellowish orange tones that are left, particularly below the lips. It's a brave entry, good luck!

Beautiful colors. However, having the stand of trees centered ruins the composition in my opinion. It almost makes the trees distracting. Cropping a little of the right and maybe a tad off the bottom would make this so much more dynamic.

This is a most excellent use of selective desat. I really like the way the subject stands out and the black in the butterfly even seems to work well with the black in the background. Good composition as well. I'm not crazy about the border (don't really like the black part), but borders tend to be a huge pet peeve of mine...

I'm betting this is pretty cool full size, assuming you have the necissary resolution, but with only 640 pixels to work with I think it looses a lot of it's impact. For a shot like this (that's already pushing the limits the pixel allowance), I wouldn't have wasted space on a border. It's actually rather distracting since it takes up so much of the frame.
