Hardly original but interesting composition, I at least can feel the snakeskin through viewing this shot. I only gave it a 5 though since it seems to be slightly out of focus, I looked everywhere and I can´t make out one spot that is pristine sharp except for maybe just at the top in the middle but I am still not sure. Would have given it maybe even a 7 if it had been sharper and some better lighting (softer to be specifig) to increase the 3D feel to it.

I am terribly sorry but this photo doesn´t do anything for me. To be more specific the blown out highlight of what I assume is a flash or some kind of lamp kills this shot for me personally and there is nothing good in the image that counterweights that. Also the image is very flat contrast wise and soft and the overexposure combined with the strong shadow draws the attention away from what little texture there is in the shot. I gave it a 3 though since I has some traces of texture but if it had been off topic I would have given it a 1.

On the plus side you seem to have been experimenting with lightsources and experimentation is always good so keep it up, practice makes perfect.

Dude/dudette, you got way too much free time on your hands but you failed in one aspect, you should have put blueberry jam on the toast in order to get a blue ribbon ;o) Now I am forced to give you only a 9 so you don´t win the challenge but get the yellow ribbon.

He seems to be angry with you for taking his picture and I don´t really think it´s fitting here at least it makes me a bit uneasy. Otherwise spot on the theme of the challenge, a bit unoriginal but well lit and sharp as a tack, should do well.

Very nice, perfectly exposed but I can´t help but wonder if it hadn´t grabbed my attention more in colour but I trust your judgement, you seem to know what you are doing. One of the better shots in the challenge.

Pacific Sunset

There are two things that really bother me about this image and caused me to give it a score below average.

1. The red colour is very unnatural and makes me think of blood rather than a sunset.

2. Having lens flare is always bad in an image IMHO but here it is extra bad since it is the only thing in the image that isn´t red, black or white and therefore draws extra much attention.

On the plus side it wasn´t a bad idea to take a shot of the ocean like this but I don´t really like the outcome. Sorry.

Pretty cool, I love the clarity of this shot, however something is missing in my humble opinion, an airplane or space shuttle or just something but one of the better shots in the challenge, I gave it a 7.
