a perfect example of how focus/cropping can make a picture amazing... take yours, looks great, but the photo I JUST voted on is the same peach rose, cropped way in and VERY creative... there is a huge diffrence in "snapshot" as yours almost posseses and one of "art" which the previous photo epitomizes... "

in photoshop, there is this thing called levels... I Belive if you would slide the "middle" slider more towards the left it would halp with more clarity/contrast in color/brightness on the rocks. I Dont know how to expain it in photography terms, but basicly you need to "allocate" less "bits" to the "black" range and more to the "white" range...

the only problem here is that it seems blurry... I don't know if that is the "smog" or your camera but if your camera has "infinate" focus (usually you will see a "mountain" symbol, that would defintaly help in this shot... If it wern't for the blurrieness, easy 10....

The only problem I have with this picture is that there is no sense of depth... It looks too me like I am looking straight down; however, if you were to move the camara and point it more towards the sky (still keeping all sand in the pic) - maybe only 6-10 degreess more, this would be very pleasing... oringaly a 6, after reevaluation 8 :)
