Honestly, the selective desat doesn't work for me on this one. It's a good shot, but the selective desat gives it too much of an artificial feel for me.

Overall this is a very busy image. Neither subject seems to be "singled out" and they actually both seem to be competing for attention. The nearest subject grabs your attention initially, but the focus and lighting is on your distant subject. The focus on her seems a bit soft, and she is dominated by the near subject. In short, I can't really tell who is "singled out".

The color seems strange. The selective desat(?) doesn't really work for me. The image is OK, but a bit too busy for my taste. I also strongly dislike titles that are more of a comment about the picture. Sometimes shorter is better.
