Exquisite Gazeby librodoComment: Excellent portrait. Rich colors from the blue background to orange scarf, and then into her face. The gesture with the had suggests she is pulling the scarf up, perhaps because she is she... wornderful! |

eye contactby hopperComment: Very nice portrait, I like the overall composition and the close personal feeling it creates. There are a couple of details I would ask about:
- I'm usually ok with mulitple catchlights in the eyes, but it this case they are so distintive that I find them a little distracting.
- Just a little more fill or the left side of her face (right of frame) might have brought her left eye out of the shadows enough to add some depth to her face.
- This is very minor, but she has some hair that is going up and over her shoulder to the left of the frame. Lines are a strong element of composition and in this case I find the lines, created by the hair, drawing my attention to the bright area in the top left corner of the frame. |

March of the Penguinsby magnusComment: I usually vote down the 'clever' images, probably because I'm not that clever, but in this case I'm not going to. The positioning of the beguins and the way they are lit is good. The little guy trailing behind adds some drama. And most important, it made me smile. Thanks! |

relaxby irishempressComment: I was about to pass this by hwne I noticed the glimpse of red hair, fair skin and freckles, and diamond ring (which I'm assuming has some significance). I see a fair number of shots from a similar perspective, but this is the first one that I have seen with such a personal and intimate impact. Very nice work, I hope it does well. |

Evolve by grigrigirlComment: This image has a wonderful almost abstract quality. At first I thought it was just artsy printing/manipulation, then I look closer and saw that a vail of some type was used. The exposure and processing perfectly compliment the concept. "Mork calling Orson. Come in Orson."by a5280hidiComment: The introduction of Robin Williams was definitely one of the high points of the 70's. Not a lot of wow factor in the photograph but I like the fact that is has documentary significance. |

sorryby jmritzComment: You nailed the flower, but the hand seems a little purple to me. The edges of the finger also seem a little harsh against the solid black background. The idea is great and the execution does have some impact. Just a few details from my perspective that make this a good image rather than a great one. |

The witchby Mad-DComment: An interesting image! There is actually some light areas/highlights to the right of the subject that draws the viewer's attention away. Placing that highlight on the subject would have really brought this up a notch. I do like the concept you are working with. |

Waterfront Clichéby Dr.ConfuserComment: Yes, the waterfront is done a lot, but rarely this well. The timing was great because the sky had not yet gone fully dark. The window light is crisp and not blown out. The only thing that might be considered a slight negative, is the blur from what I am assuming is a large ship in the harbor (very minor). Excellent execution! |
