Just wanted to say that I'm really surprised this image didn't do better. Even now that I can see it's a palm tree, I find it very beautiful and interesting. What might have hurt you here is the title: perhaps it confused people. I didn't understand the title either but just ignored it (pictures should stand on their own anyway).
May I also thank you profusely for the update that you added to your comment on my pic. That really made me feel very good and I appreciated the effort you made there!

A fine picture while meeting the challenge requirement at the same time. Like the mood of this picture as well as the splurge of green and purple color. Would have been nice if the foreground flowers and leaves could have been a tad sharper.

Congrats, Karen. I just love this picture and thought it was taken somewhere in Central America! lol
It's funny how subjective one is. I read Patella's comment and he would have liked to see everything in sharp focus. I, on the other hand, particularly likes the grass out of focus. It gives the image a painterly feel and it draws all the attention on the little girl in the white dress.
