Museum Pieceby wetlandComment: I like the way this image shows the parts, very clever. It may not do so well in the challenge, (I hope it does), but it shows a different interpretation. |

Just a Few Minutesby DougPazComment: Nice crisp image, good use of DOF. I know its part of a clock but parts isn't what comes to mind when I look at it. |

Worn outby geewhyComment: Some nice deep blacks but the main tyre is a bit burnt out and there's a distraction in the bottom left. I may be wrong but it would seem that you had time to frame it better? Nice subject matter and the B&W works well. Very good. |

Black and whiteby JinjitComment: Good artistic abstract shot. I you could have got rid of the triangle of grass showing between the neck and the jaw it would have improved things I think. |

pART of a TV Stationby MorganComment: The colours are good and the reflection takes it a bit out of the ordinary. But not enough to be higher up in my opinion. Good work though. |

Wheels & Trackby 3DsArcherComment: Its definately parts and the shot is quite interesting. The lighting is what lets it down in my opinion. Too bright and harsh I think. I know that seems a bit unfair because its obviously beyound your control. Unless you could have returned at a different time of day? |

Fishing Bellsby photographistComment: Very nice idea but in my opinion not quite there. Firstly cropping tighter on the bells would help. The background is blurred but it gives the impression of sloping to one side. I know its a river and not the horizon but it still looks crooked. One last thing, the bells don't look quite right just above the trees, a lower shooting position or higher may have given a better result, maybe not, I wasn't there so I don't know. Its always worth changing position and seeing how it looks. On the whole a very nice shot using a very nice idea, once again an image that tells a story or conveys an idea works well, or is that just me? I tried the cropping and leveling I mentioned, even on the low-res image I got, I think it works. I'd be happy to show you on the full sized image after the challenge if you'd like? |

Handsby kinksComment: I think boith hands would have been better. The top of the dark area shows something in the background which is distracting. The tone is nice and warm but for me it lacks a "story" or a point of particular interest. The hand is the perhaps the most interesting part and it is leading the eye out of the shot. Just my opinion anyway. |

Shadow's Gazeby trnqltyComment: First of all I liked the colours in this shot, then it made me think about what the horse was thinking (sad maybe)? Good DOF use with just enough detail to give it life and make it interesting. Very well done. |

Pachyderm's Pinnaby flip89Comment: Another wonderful texture / detail shot. I think some sort of colour or tone might have improved it though. As long as that is within the rules of the challenge. |
